TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter form part of the terms and conditions of entry. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.
2. All entries are to be sent via email. Eligible participants will be required to tell us in 25 words or less why they should win a private screening for you and 25 friends, along with their full name and daytime contact phone number to complete their entry. Incomplete entries will be ineligible.
3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries not received by the Promoter or delays in postage.
4. Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia. Employees and their immediate families of News Magazines and their agencies and companies associated with the promotion are ineligible.
5. The competition commences on March 19 2008 00:01 (EST) and concludes on April 6 2008 at 23:59 (EST).
6. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
7. Judging of the entries will commence at 11:00 (EST) on April 7 2008 at the offices of News Magazines, 180 Bourke Rd, Alexandria NSW 2015. If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian. Entries will be judged based on creativity of their entry and wit of words of their 25 words or less answer only.
8. The promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter.
9. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.
10. The promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
11. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
12. Winner will be notified by telephone within 10 days from the closing date.
13. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
14. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
15. The collection use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this promotion is governed by the Privacy Notice (see Contents Page for location in this issue).
16. Prizes and values are as follows:
1 winner will receive a private theatrette screening of Street Kings with 25 friends including canapés and pre screening drinks.

17. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. The promoter takes no responsibility for any changes in the value of the prizes from the time of writing the terms & conditions.
