A Very Big THANK-YOU to Wingstar and Family
I spent last night at the Casa Del Wingstar in sunny Armidale. The offer was made at Bathurst yesterday morning before departing together for the north, but initially declined. Later in the day on realizing I'd be riding the Armidale - Grafton Road in the rain and in the dark I begged to be allowed to reclaim the offer and was told "no worries mate". I was welcomed by Wingy's family, plied with beer and wine and joined the family in a delicious roast dinner. Thanks to you, your good lady wife and your kids for making me feel so welcome, you are very generous.

The damp clothes were due to sweat as the temperature rose from Grafton north. Should have shivered leaving Armidale and over the mountains, and I'd have been completely dry on getting here.

Armydale eh??? Not an entirely unpleasant part of the country. Used to be just down the road...Walcha...Don't miss the winter chill one iota.

The very same....kicked it off in '90 in the old council workshop, sold in '93. The friggin scary part is, my neighbour up here is the present owners grandmother.....small world indeed.

Actually, I didn't get there until a couple of years after you left. Was a regular there until I had a bad experience with your successor and wiped them.

Re: A Very Big THANK-YOU to Wingstar and Family
Doesn't really surprise me, the guy that bought it, thought he was Gods gift....actually, they bought as a partnership, the Gods gift partner left to cut fence posts. The present one seems a bit similar....nothing like his grandmother. I haven't been back there in years but, still have ties, my wife's Walcha born and bred.
